East Coast Energy Consultants is a family-owned business started by Nick Johnson in 2014. Nick has been involved in the electrical contracting business for over 25 years having direct experience with multiple utilities in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states regarding transmission, distribution, sub-station construction, field operations, and business management in the electrical utility industry. ECEC became a majority-woman owned company in 2018 with the inclusion of Sayre Whitehouse and Laura Lebel as owners. Sayre and Laura are UNH graduates and have managed the office since 2016.
The focus of ECEC is to provide electrical utilities with project consulting, management, and inspections of field operations throughout the Eastern portion of the United States. ECEC has hand-picked personnel with in-depth expertise and knowledge in construction of projects, field coordination, estimating, inspection, and safety in utility construction operations.
ECEC advises and provides oversight of planning, budgeting, coordinating, and management of all areas of powerline field operations.
ECEC also has a sister company, Hawkins Glove Testing, LLC., that provides testing of all rubber goods, mechanical jumpers and grounds, and insulating line tools in their testing laboratory, which is certified by Hanco international.
Today, the ECEC team has grown to over 15 consultants, each with over 20 years of experience, and as a team they are greatly confident in their ability to establish a safe work environment, quality management of all field operations, and implement cost-saving measures for all customers.
